explaining how muscle groups work in conjunction with one another? This
lab-based workshop will not just explain but show where pork retail cuts
are located, and how to fabricate a market hog.

8:30-10:45 am Workshop Session 2-1 hour Fall Career Development Event Workshops
[Elko HS and area] Land Evaluation– Don Noorda
This workshop will cover all the parts necessary to have a Soil Judging
Team. We will cover soil texturing, permeability, pit work and determining
slopes. We will also go over information necessary to understand the soil
judging scorecard and the homesite scorecard. We will also answer any
questions about strategies to train a team.
Elko HS Hormel Card of rangelands: Grass Utilization Gauges-- Ryan Kindall
Want to learn how the Rangeland Management CDE works and why the
emphasis on grass utilizations for revisions? Come participate in this
workshop, focusing directly on the most recent revision to the event, how
to teach this practicum, and how this CDE is considered by Kindall as the
most career-based event in FFA. Anyone who wants to learn how to
coach and train range teams, both new and veteran, is welcome to
attend.

AET Basics– Facilitated by AET
AET Basics: Come learn about the basics of navigating AET along with tips
on how to improve the record book experience, for you and your students.
This includes creating new accounts, managing old accounts, setting up
courses, and important Student PROFILE areas, and setting up successful
SAE projects.

AET and the POA– Facilitated by AET
This workshop focuses on how students log their AFNR skills through SAE
planning and Journaling (SAE, FFA, and Community Service) and how you can
score their SAE skills. We will also share new skill attainment reports showcasing
your program to school administration, which addresses work-based learning
demand in agricultural education.
